When art becomes the only friend of yours, you live in your own world easily and detach from others.

When art becomes your last thing that you can hold on to, you at least have a grasp of your meaning and purpose.

Yes, my drawing sucks and they are of no skills at all. But they are all living parts of me that fights hard to survive.

Perhaps I can’t talk.

My drawings do all the talking.

Seoul (14/08/2017)

Early at 7am in the morning, we were boarding onto HK Express and ready to take flight to Seoul.  The flight duration was approximately 3 hours.

At 12:29, we had arrived at Incheon Airport.

The currency ratio for Hong Kong dollars to Korean Won is 7: 1000.

We then hopped onto Korea Train Express (KTX) to get to the city center. The KTX is South Korea’s high speed rail system, it operates from Seoul to Busan. Recently, a new line is under construction to serve the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

My boyfriend talked about the development of big cities. Usually, big cities develop upon a vast open land, with a river accompanied. Examples include Shanghai and Huangpu River, London and River Thames,  Seoul and Han River.

Seoul Metropolitan Subway system (SMS) is very advanced. You are required to frequently change lines and keep track with the tight travelling schedule. (I guess if South Koreans themselves are unable to travel to all the stations…)

We took around 2 hours to reach to the city. When we had arrived at Dangogue station, it was already 3pm. We immediately hopped back to our hostel–Hotel Familia Inn, settled down and hopped back out again.

What is so fascinating about Seoul is that your shopping experiences are not only limited on the ground level. Owing to Seoul’s rainy season in summer, which downpours are unpredictable, underground shopping malls are prevalent in the city. Usually, these malls are connected to the subway, so you do not need to worry about transportation at all!

The first stop we went to was the underground mall–Goto Mall. It is connected to the Express Bus Terminal station. You can basically find anything in this mall, including latest clothing trends, accessories, cosmetics, flowers, household items etc.

This is Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles), a traditionally Korean noodle dish. The one we were eating is called Mul-naengmyeon( Korean cold noodles in chilled broth). How refreshing to have your tongue chill and cool at the same time haha!

We are aware that South Koreans love wearing flipflops no matter where they go or what occasion they are in. Perhaps it is one distinctive element in Korean culture.

The second stop we visited is the renowned Banpo Bridge. It is the world’s longest bridge fountain that sets a Guinness World Record. It connects Seocho and Yongsan districts.

We came to see the Rainbow fountain show, which displays every night at around 7 to 8 pm.

It was a very memorable and romantic night to be indeed. The colors displayed captures the ever-changing nature of life. Living at this moment, witnessing this day of being alive, we should bear no regrets.

Create your own colors in life. You worth it.
